Crucible of the Gods: Stairway to Kotaresh
Ascending the stairs just slightly, you see that the hallway turns briefly to the right before ending at a closed double door that would take you further east. Plenty of lit torches and cressets to light your way.
Meanwhile, Dervan tries to see if he can make the newly found stone table give any signs of life. Shakes it, taps a finger on it, rubs the surface like a genie's lamp... but nothing seems to happen.
Each of you give the new doors an expert glance, and it seems unanimous that the doors are neither locked, nor trapped.
OOC: Small post today. New roster above in the key of the map; I'll include Aramil once he starts posting.
Good Luck!

[Dervan]
ReplyDeleteDervan frowns as his investigation leads to no immediate results. "A puzzle, eh?" he says to no one in particular.
He glances up to examine the alcove for any clues as to the functioning of the tablet. He also continues to search the surface of the tablet, also even tries things like bending. What was this things secret?
Dervan's efforts to 'crack' the tablet prove fruitless. Besides giving off an illusion aura, it seems to do little else.
ReplyDelete[Dervan]
ReplyDeleteDervan looks confused, and then bored. He simply stows the tablet away in his pack.
[Aramil]
ReplyDeleteWith a sudden flash a figure appears from seemingly out of nowhere between Thundic and Bhareg. "I've been observing your efforts for some time and have found you wanting," the Eladrin says, "perhaps I can be of assistance?"
Aramil moves swiftly next to Dervan, "What do you need of me?"
[Thundic]
ReplyDeleteSeeing Dervan give up on the tablet momentarily, the roguish dwarf turns his attention to the doors before him. "Seems safe enough..." He grumbles, then drops to one knee and asks Kotaresh for safe passage into his domain. "May my feet be swift, my step be silent and my fortunes many, oh Masked One, by your grace do I thrive."
He stands with a grunt, dusts off his knee and palms and pushes on one of the doors.
[Dervan]
ReplyDeleteDervan gives Aramil only a flicker of interest.
"Nothing, although you could hold onto to this." Dervan says, handing him the tablet. "Can't figure out what it's for."
OOC: Check out the next post, as Thundic opens the doors!
